Position description
CLDP is looking for an energetic, innovative and results oriented individual who will enjoy working in a dynamic, fast-paced and mission driven organization as an International Program Specialist (IPS). The primary geographical focus of the International Program Specialist’s work will be Europe & Eurasia, specifically the Western Balkans and South Caucasus. The work will require travel to countries throughout Europe & Eurasia and other regions throughout the globe.
As an International Program Specialist, you will perform the following duties:
- Serves as a liaison with government officials, regulators, judges, and other high-level diplomatic, community, and business leaders in foreign countries.
- Assisting attorneys with the design and implementation of technical assistance programs related to the rule of law. Analyzes the impact of programs and writing reports to the U.S. Department of State and other government agencies identifying CLDP’s activities and achievements.
- Identifying and securing the logistical support needed to execute technical assistance programs through multiple procurement mechanisms.
- Developing, planning and preparing overall program budgets based on CLDP interagency agreements including tracking budgets as expenditures occur, notifying funding agencies of spending rates, and sending regular bills for CLDP programs.
- Traveling overseas to prepare and implement trainings, workshops and consultations.
- Monitors federal regulations and departmental policies to ensure that all CLDP plans and expenditures comply with the relevant requirements.
Qualifications
- You must be a U.S. citizen to apply for this position. You must successfully pass a background investigation. This may include a credit check, a review of financial issues, as well as certain criminal offenses and illegal use of possession of drugs.
