The Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB) invites passionate and talented individuals to apply for its 2025 Internship Programme. Eligibility criteria and required qualifications:

  • Academic background: Graduated within the past 24 months or currently enrolled in the final academic year at an institute of higher education (ideally at a Master’s level or equivalent);
  • Professional background: Applicants to the CEB Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience, but this would be an advantage;
  • Languages: Excellent command of one of the two CEB official languages (English and French), both oral and written. Working knowledge of the other one is desirable and knowledge of (an)other CEB member country language would be an asset;

  • Nationality: Be a citizen of one of the Bank’s Member States: Albania, Andorra, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Holy See, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Kosovo, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Republic of Moldova, Montenegro, Netherlands, North Macedonia, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Serbia, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Türkiye, Ukraine.

Applications should be made in English or French using the Bank’s online application system before the deadline of 5 November 2024.

Internships will be offered for a period of 6 months initially, with a possibility for further extension up to a maximum of 12 months depending on business needs. The envisaged staring date is February 2025, although some flexibility can be granted to match the Intern’s schedule/requirements of their academic institution. Interns within the official Internship Programme receive a monthly allowance of 1 800 EUR as a contribution towards living expenses.
