These needs may arise from experiences such as trauma, anxiety, ADHD, or other mental health conditions. Students with SEMH needs often require tailored interventions and structured support to help them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.The Role:As an Intervention Support Assistant, you’ll be a vital part of a nurturing and structured learning environment, providing targeted support to students with SEMH needs. Your role will be instrumental in fostering self-esteem, emotional regulation, and academic progress. Your day-to-day may include:Delivering one-on-one and small-group interventions to help students overcome barriers to learning.Supporting emotional well-being and behavioural development through structured strategies.Assisting in implementing tailored behaviour support plans and individual education strategies.Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and pastoral teams to create a positive and inclusive learning experience.Encouraging positive peer relationships and social skills development.Where You’ll Be Working:As part of our SEMH support team, you may be placed in a variety of specialist provisions, including:Pupil Referral Units (PRUs): Supporting students who have been excluded or are at risk of exclusion from mainstream schools.Alternative Provisions: Working with students who require a non-traditional educational setting to meet their individual needs.Health Referral Units: Assisting young people who are unable to attend mainstream education due to medical or mental health challenges.What We’re Looking For:We believe that the right attitude and passion are just as important as experience. However, you’ll thrive in this role if you have:Experience working with children or young people, particularly those with SEMH needs (in a school, care, or community setting).A calm, patient, and resilient nature with a strong commitment to supporting students’ emotional and academic growth.Adaptability and confidence to work in varied settings and respond to individual needs.A proactive approach to supporting behaviour management and fostering a positive learning atmosphere.Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, Mental Health First Aid, Youth Work) are advantageous but not essential.What’s in It for You?Competitive pay rates and flexible working arrange
