Work Schedule: 8 Hr (7:00:00 AM – 3:30:00 PM)

Summary:

Reporting to the Inventory Control Manager, the Inventory Control Analyst is responsible for maintaining inventory record accuracy and integrity. The Inventory Control Analyst continuously reviews all inventory functions for operational efficiency and is responsible for maintaining proper inventory levels and re-order of supply. The Inventory Control Analyst works closely with Rush’s Supply Chain Management team, including the Purchasing department, and Receiving Area and Operations team both at the main campus and off-site warehouse. Required Job Qualifications:

• High school diploma/GED required.

• A minimum of one year of work experience in a related healthcare or service industry field.

• Experience with the Lawson ERP system; including the Mobile Supply Chain module preferred.

• Strong communication and organizational skills.

• Ability to communicate effectively and exhibit good oral and written skills.

• Ability to analyze, compose, and articulate business opportunities and recommend best proactive outcomes for Warehouse Inventory.

• Prior experience with data inquiry, data entry and P.C. operations. Requires sound math and inquisitive skills resolving system(s) and inventory related issues.

Responsibilities:

• Continuously monitors inventory for appropriate minimum/maximum re-order values with consideration for fluctuating market demands, clinical usage trends, and seasonal impact to ensure inventory availability.

• Initiates and maintains an efficient cycle count strategy.

• Makes system adjustments as required and analyzes results of counts to initiate permanent corrective actions.

• Maintains accurate records of all audits, counts, and adjustments.

• Confirms completion of cycle count activity daily.

• Manage the full replenishment cycle for assigned offsite clinics

• Collect and analyze monthly usage to help determine trends and opportunities for improvement

• Communicate order lead times and backorder information to department staff

• Create standard work that can be used as a baseline for department training and continuous improvement activities

• Perform routine audits to ensure standard work is being followed

• Create stock, non-stock, and special orders using Infor/Lawson ERP application and handheld technology

• Drive all ordering and purchasing activities in accordance to Rush policy

• Work closely with the operations, clinical, and procurement teams to identify item standardization opportunities

• Provides timely and accurate responses to Customer Service and Purchasing initiated cycle count requests.

• Manages returned inventory from the hospital to ensure system accuracy from an inventory and accounting standpoint.

• Continuously analyze inventory usage (turns) to increase inventory turnover and reduce/eliminate stock with usage not meeting shelf value criteria.

• Reviews daily re-orders of automated re-supply process to ensure all transactions with identified vendors occurred. Corrective actions are taken as required including expediting shipment of product.

• Works with the Inventory Manager to address recall notices in a timely manner and ensure proper communication occurs according to the appropriate policy and procedure.

• Expedites invoicing for payment by Accounts Payable in ongoing and timely manner.

• Provides coverage and additional assignments as needed
