You will become part of the newly established and evolving North America Investment Hub with a real opportunity to work with stakeholders to shape how the team supports and services wider foreign direct investment work and our high value investment strategy across the North American network.
The Hub manages a newly launched digital service to provide support for US and Canadian investors interested in expanding their business into the UK, as well as providing leads and business intelligence for the network to drive delivery of foreign direct investment into the UK. You will be responsible for investor support, including engaging with investors and triaging projects via the digital service, as well as lead generation for the North American market.Roles and responsibilities:Main duties:

  • Assess and progress incoming investment projects through the digital service platform and ensure records are updated;
  • Support team in the proactive management of pipelines ensuring data quality, prioritisation and high performance;
  • Lead on investment verification processes for hub-led projects;
  • Regularly monitor the digital service’s information ensuring the latest information is up to date;
  • Identify and proactively reach out to high potential investors to qualify projects by phone, email and social platforms;
  • Engage and communicate with investors about their investment projects and long-term planning.
  • Promote tools and automated processes with internal teams to improve lead generation and business intelligence.
  • Evaluate investment project records to identify trends and adapt outreach strategies;
  • Keep pace with market trends, initiatives and centres of excellence across the North America network to identify best practices and stories of success;
  • Support Head of Hub on reporting, forecasting and overviews;
  • Build relationships with stakeholders providing information on project triaging, project updates and outreach to investors;
  • Support for engagement forums to collaborate with network teams on designing process, communications and strategy;
  • Occasional support for Ministerial visits, trade events, campaigns;
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Must be able to attend events outside of office hours and undertake occasional travel within the North America and the UK.
