Senior Business Analyst

Role

We seek a dynamic senior business analyst to join our IT team to play a critical role in advancing the organization’s goals by delivering innovative IT solutions and services. This individual will lead the enhancement of existing systems and business processes while also driving the development and delivery of new systems, recommending appropriate technological solutions or process enhancements to address ISO’s business objectives. They will also serve as a key advocate for the product vision, prioritizing features to deliver maximum value to customers and stakeholders. They will provide top-tier business support to the ISO community, balancing responsibilities (listed in order of priority) across business analysis, product ownership, and project management.

Key responsibilities

• Business Needs Analysis: Identify, assess, and prioritize stakeholder requirements, translating them into clear solutions or process improvements to address the business challenges; lead BA/testing activities on projects.
• Product Vision and Roadmap: Champion the product vision, defining and managing the product backlog while prioritizing features to maximize value for customers and stakeholders.
• Solution Delivery Management: Oversee and directly contribute to implementing and enhancing IT solutions, ensuring they meet business requirements and deliver intended value.
• Process Optimization: Lead initiatives to improve existing business processes through innovative approaches, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Stakeholder Collaboration and Support: Provide high-level business support, engaging with internal and external stakeholders (including implementers) to foster collaboration and ensure solutions meet evolving needs.
• Project Management Support: Manage smaller-scale projects or specific project phases when necessary, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals while supporting larger project initiatives led by dedicated project managers.

Qualification and Experience

• University or post-graduate degree with over 8 years of experience in a similar position.
• Professional experience in business analysis or a related field, including working as a product owner and translating business requirements into functional specifications in the context of IT products.
• Knowledge of process optimization techniques to drive operational efficiency and innovation and proven ability using data modelling techniques.
• Experience managing small-medium-sized projects using both agile and waterfall project management methodologies.
• Fluency in English, with strong written and oral communication is required. French would be a plus.
