Permanent Full Time–We are looking for two IT Business Systems Consultant.The Business Systems Consultant is responsible collaborating with development teams towards championing the strategic system planning & prioritization of best practices and which facilitate product* evolution, scoping efforts, requirements, capabilities and use cases.This role provides thought leadership by acting as an analysis lead for a large program or portfolio, as well as ensuring best practices and standards are defined and followed. This role applies their advanced, specialized knowledge to work on strategic, complex, ambiguous programs that are typically long term with substantial business impact and involves overseeing technical leadership across multiple initiatives. This role creates and documents functional and non-functional requirements to implement solutions that may require the modification of systems, products, requiring significant departures from traditional approaches to develop solutions, while leading by example by mentoring and overseeing the work of other BSA roles.What you will do
- Supports product owners and stakeholders to form strategic plans to meet objectives for specified work and projects
- Partners with management in the development of strategic and operational plans related to the product/portfolio/program
- Defines and leads implementation of analysis practices, processes, tools and methodologies while mentoring and training BSA’s as required
- Supports the troubleshooting and incident management to resolve complex problems requiring the modification of systems, processes or products or requiring a significant departure from traditional approaches to develop solutions
- Researches, reviews and adapts new technologies, industry standards and industry-related developments
- Is a trusted advisor and technical leader to senior management both within and outside of the business unit, and to internal and external partners
- Provides leadership to team towards the achievement of strategic objectives, including providing feedback to people leaders on performance, development, resource assignment, etc.
What you will bring
- 10+ years experience in the field
- University or College education in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, Commerce, Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- CBAP, Scrum Master or other related industry certifications are considered an asset
- Expert knowledge of various software development lifecycle methodologies (eg Waterfall, Iterative, Agile)
- Knowledge of industry trends and directions in business and technology
- Experience championing new methods within and across business unit(s)
- Extensive experience in:
- Scoping, estimating, and work management across multiple competing initiatives
- Complex analysis and troubleshooting ambiguous situations
- Developing effective working relationships with senior management
–The base salary for this position is between $76000 – $141000 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
