Responsibilities span from initial project planning through to final deployment and subsequent transitioning to ongoing production support.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop project objectives including schedules, clearly defined scope, resources and physical assets required to meet project requirements. Develop timelines and expectations for all elements of a project.
  • Manage cross-functional project teams and stakeholders across the organization. Anticipate and proactively manage change throughout the project cycle.
  • Lead the development of various project plans, ensuring alignment of activities and priorities. Provide project status updates and key project management lifecycle deliverables as identified in the IT PMO Project Management Methodology.
  • Identify and manage risk, determine appropriate courses of action on complex issues while exercising judgment on moderately complex decisions that fall outside standard procedures, practices and policies.
  • Maintain ownership of project progress, scope and budget, and follow proper change management processes to proactively address any deviations from established baseline.
  • Champion the established Project Management Methodology by providing training and support to PMs across the Americas Region in order to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Establish effective leadership and participation in the HSEMS through demonstration and display of safety behaviors.
  • Actively communicate the HSEMS requirements with shift managers, foreman, contractors, and workers.
  • Participate in the review and development of materials and documentations in the HSEMS.
  • Work in accordance with the Security Management System, including the immediate reporting of any suspicious activities to senior management and/or the Security Officer.
  • Understand the consequences related to inappropriate conduct or behaviour or disregard for safety and security programs, policies and procedures.
  • Ensure workers under your direction are properly trained and educated to perform their duties.
  • Ensure that operations comply with both the law and the HSEMS.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the workplace and correct unsafe conditions and behaviours.
  • Ensure that personnel under your direction have a clear understanding of the discipline policy for dealing with consequences of inappropriate conduct or behaviour.
  • Ensure that the highest levels of safety are applied in all activities.
  • Understand and adhere to DP World’s Code of Conduct and Ethics policies.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Position may require travel for up to 50%.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or similar area.
  • PMI Certification
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks.
  • Organizational skills & the ability to manage projects/workload in an efficient manner.
  • Problem-solving capabilities, critical thinking and solutions oriented.
  • Strong leadership.
  • Pro-active approach.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • IT technical knowledge.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish.
  • Previous work experience with cargo logistics, port terminal operations, and/or maritime services.
