  • Deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons in Sociology and Psychology to KS3/KS4/KS5 students.
  • Inspire students to explore and understand societal and psychological concepts.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages academic excellence and personal growth.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the Sociology and Psychology curriculum.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and resources.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in Sociology and Psychology.
  • Use a variety of teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
  • Create a stimulating and safe classroom environment where students feel valued and motivated.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and subject knowledge.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to support student achievement.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A degree in Sociology, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience teaching Sociology and/or Psychology at KS3/KS4/KS5 level.
  • Strong knowledge of the Sociology and Psychology curriculum and assessment requirements.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for teaching.
