Associated administrative duties will be undertaken accordingly.The post holder will attend outpatient clinics and theatre lists for their own learning and will be given responsibility and workload fitting with their experience and ability.Main duties of the jobThe post holder will be involved in the day-to-day running of the urology inpatient service. This will include attending ward rounds and managing emergency cases and will have opportunities to attend theatre lists.The post holder will be responsible, as part of the urology team to participate in the on-call rota, attend ward round, manage emergency cases and participate in educational activities in the unit.During their time in the urology department, the Junior Clinical Fellow can expect to improve their clinical and surgical skills in general urology and other subspecialist areas to a certain extent. • On GMC registered/ licensed Medical Practitioner

AuditEssential criteria

• Understanding of principles of clinical audit

Desirable criteria

• Completed audit projects and change in practice

Relevant experience in specialty/Sub specialtyEssential criteria

• Special interest in Urological Surgery

Desirable criteria

• 6 months experience in Urology

Clinical SkillsEssential criteria

• Understanding of management of Urology inpatients and common Urology emergencies

Desirable criteria

• Experience in managing common urology presentations and exposure to urology outpatients and theatres

Language SkillsEssential criteria

• Able to speak and write English to the appropriate standard necessary to fulfil the job requirements

Academic achievemenys including research/publicationsEssential criteria

• Understanding of the principles of clinical and scientific research

Desirable criteria

• Evidence of academic involvement, academic achievement, presentations, publications or post graduate degree
