University Paris-Saclay
The laboratory of Signalling and Cardiovascular Pathophysiology (UMR-S 1180) has an open position for a full-time tenure track “Junior Professor Chair” to perform independent and innovative research complementary to the current lines of research in heart failure, arrhythmias, cardio-oncology, or cardiovascular genetic diseases/therapies. Our laboratory is affiliated to both Inserm and the University Paris-Saclay, and is currently exploring physiological and pathological mechanisms focusing on energy metabolism, cyclic nucleotides, and calcium handling in cellular (including hiPSC-cardiomyocytes) and animal experimental models. The laboratory is located in a brand-new research building (2022) of the rapidly expanding Paris-Saclay campus, 20 km south of Paris, and is equipped with state-of-the-art techniques dedicated to in vivo cardiovascular phenotyping (telemetry, echocardiography), isolated heart studies (electrical/optical mapping), and analyses at the cellular and subcellular analysis (confocal microscopy, FRET, patch-clamp, high resolution oxygraphy). Furthermore, there is easy access to a large variety of technological core facilities directly in the building or on the campus.
Junior Professor Chairs are recruited among researchers who have shown throughout their careers their ability to produce world-class research, confirmed by high-quality publications, and with experience in project coordination and leadership. After a probationary period of 3-5 years and following a tenure review, the successful candidate will be given a tenured appointment as Professor of Université Paris-Saclay, a leading university in Europe and the world.
