Our private ownership provides long-term business planning and strategic decision horizons supported by a strong financial position.Job DescriptionWe are currently seeking a qualified Project Controls Reporting Analyst, (please note your title in our system will be Reporting Analyst) to join our team, based out of Calgary. The Project Controls Reporting Analyst will be responsible for various project controls duties and have the opportunity to work on multiple projects across Bantrel supporting our project controls team.This position is perfect for a tech-savvy individual who is eager to learn new systems, advance their career, and deepen their knowledge in Project Controls, Planning/Scheduling, and Estimating.in this full time permanent role and be a champion ofSummary:Assists in basic cost control, and basic schedule development, basic estimating, maintenance, reporting, and monitoring of activities, as directed. Duties consist of a variety of tasks set within parameters established by the procedure or process being supported and the cost or schedule engineer assigning the task.Typical Duties:

  • Assists in maintaining project control software. Helps implementing cost recording and reporting.
  • Assists in developing project WBS and establishing project code of accounts.
  • Assists in collecting jobhour data and maintaining the project jobhour control system and jobhour reports as directed.
  • Helps prepares staffing, and progress and performance reports for assigned disciplines or specialties. Assists in determining leveling decisions.
  • Assists in the development of the required job hour expenditure for a specific discipline or specialty.
  • Preparation of project reports as directed by team lead.

Qualifications

  • Relevant degree in Engineering, Business, Accounting, a Technical school diploma or equivalent work experience will be considered.
  • New graduates will be considered along with those with up to three to five years experience in a field related to Project Controls.
  • Must demonstrate willingness to learn more about Project Controls, Planning/Scheduling or Estimating.
  • Willingness to learn PC software specific to project controls tasks. Proficiency or interest to learn multiple discipline specific software applications currently used at Bantrel.
  • Knowledge of engineering and construction management customarily acquired by taking selected discipline training courses or through practical experience.
  • Knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup work processes, as performed by Bantrel.
  • Willingness to learn Power BI, Power Apps and Dax Functions.
  • Aptitude and experience in Excel.
  • Understanding the use of data sources though a datalake.
  • You may transfer cross functionally from another engineering or project services discipline to promote career development.
