This position requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team, exercising judgment and initiative and involves multi-tasking. This position works as a liaison between operations and finance and must possess knowledge of policies and procedures.Responsibilities

  • Support the regional team with all project coordination requirements.
  • Maintain and promote excellent relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and public.
  • Track progress of work being performed by multiple disciplines.
  • Use project scheduling tools to monitor projects plans, budget and expenditures.
  • Keep Senior Project Managers, Project Manager and other informed about project status and issues.
  • Site work/visits will be required.
  • Perform weekly/monthly site inspections, to check of projects performance and safety.
  • Assist in the development of process improvement tools that will be used by the team.
  • Deliver and coordinate all procurement orders with the Ainsworth procurement team.
  • Support the team with administrative duties as required.
  • Manage the closeout process for projects/WO.
  • Responsible for leading the project maintenance and contract documentation.
  • Mechanical experience is considered an asset.
  • Some estimating experience would be considered an asset.
  • Experience with Procore would be considered an asset.

Requirements

  • Education degree or technical college diploma/degree or equivalent combination of technical training and/or related experience
  • 3+ years’ relevant experience as a Project Coordinator or equivalent role within the commercial industry would be preferred.
  • Sense of urgency and a strong commitment to achieving goals and objectives
  • Attention to details and superior organization skills to work well with shifting priorities and rapid change.
  • Strong ability to work with a highly functional team.
  • Good communication skills both spoken and written to present data and reports to stakeholders at various levels.
  • Valid Alberta Class 5 Drivers license.
  • Excellent Microsoft Outlook, MS Word and Excel skills.
