Do you have skills and experience in a busy kitchen environment? Our café at RSPB Titchwell
Marsh is looking for hard working, enthusiastic, reliable people to join the team over our busy
period. A fulfilling role that will make a direct contribution to conservation.
We are looking for individuals who can deliver the highest standards in customer care and
assist with the day-to-day running of the kitchen operation at this nature reserve on the North
Norfolk Coast.
Main duties include preparation of tasty food, serving customers with a smile, creating
delicious coffees and teas, cleaning food stations, dishwashing, checking food stocks and
meeting health and safety regulations.
There are 5 shifts on offer: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday. All
shifts are from 11.00am to 3:00pm, so 4 hours per day. In your application, please let
us know which days you are interested in working.
Contracts will be Fixed-Term for 7 months, although the RSPB reserves the right to extend or
make this role permanent without further advertising dependent on business needs at the end of
the contract term.
Essential experience and skills we need from you
- Experience of working in a busy commercial kitchen
- Till operation and payment handling
- Ability to manage and respond to customer needs and feedback
- Knowledge of food and food service skills
- High understanding of the principals of food hygiene
- Computer skills
- Enthusiastic approach to work
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Problem-solving skills and ability to work on own initiative
- Ability to work as part of a team
