Job Summary and Qualifications

This Knowledge Center Clinical Knowledge Analyst reports to the Director of Evidence Services and is responsible for supporting HCA Healthcare clinical initiatives utilizing the Knowledge Center methodology by effectively understanding, prioritizing, researching, evaluating, analyzing and summarizing evidence and data to identify and size clinical opportunities. Through literature review, regulatory changes, division and facility-submitted inquiries and valuable practices, specialty society standards of care/recommendations, service line collaboration and evidence-based medicine, the Clinical Knowledge Analyst will develop literature evaluation and data analysis outputs that compare current clinical performance against best practice, to ensure ongoing future clinical opportunities are appropriately identified, prioritized, articulated, and supported. This position collaborates with other team members to define research methodology, editorial processes, and content management/maintenance strategies. Clinical Knowledge Analysts follow a comprehensive and standardized approach to deliver high-quality, accurate, and timely information to Knowledge Center customers. This standardized approach includes an automated question queue, in-process workflow status board in SharePoint, literature search, analysis, writing, and review processes, technical writing style guide, standardized templates, evidence grading system, publishing guidelines, and maintenance system.

· Initiate the evaluation of care delivery model and processes, including opportunity identification and sizing

· Evidence and Utilization Analytics: Work with multiple departments to define standard outcome and quality metrics for the identification of new clinical opportunities to improve patient care

· Critical Thinking and Research Analysis: Identify and differentiate key clinical evidence related to HCA Healthcare goals

· Manage Physician engagement and key interactions with physicians (per division/facility requests) as well as corporate colleagues

· Provide support for Knowledge Management Services

· Provide clinical support and clinical rationale to Clinical Operations Group teams

Education and Experience

• PharmD or MD degree

• Proficiency in medical research and technical writing

• Research study quality and practicality assessment as it relates to the bedside clinician

• Experience with literature evaluation and unbiased clinical writing

• Discipline-specific experience in a research environment preferred

• Possesses strong organizational and critical thinking skills.

• Possesses strong presentation and communication skills

• Effectively organize and manage data

• Proficiency in multiple clinical specialties

• Possesses developed interpersonal skills to work in a high-profile and fast-paced team environment.

• Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple concurrent projects within deadlines.

• Proven ability to work in a team environment or independently as needed.
