WHAT YOU’LL DOAs a Knowledge Director (KD) within BCG’s Global Advantage Practice Area, you will be a key contributor towards the strategic agenda for the Geopolitics and Trade Impact topic. You will grow and deploy a team of 4+ experts to provide value added support to the business and be responsible for team’s performance across all KPIs (case billability, quality, content creation, etc.). You will also take ownership for the team’s development and career progression.Additionally, you will directly contribute to cases, proposals, client workshops based upon your own extensive experience in the domain. You will support SATT & Conferences, presenting expertise in meetings & conferences.YOU’RE GOOD ATLeading problem solving and solutioning for clients and driving towards pragmatic solutions tailored to the business contextLeading development and commercialization of knowledge and assets e.g. tools, sector/topic materials, in area of expertiseEngaging and communicating with senior stakeholders, demonstrating expert presence and credibilityLeading projects in a highly effective manner, mobilizing team to deliver on business priorities and commercial impactActing as a highly effective coach and mentor, guiding team members to achieve goals efficiently and effectivelyWorking in an ever changing and complex environment, and comfortable with ambiguity and navigating a fast-paced environmentYOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)7+ years consulting experience required; candidates with consulting experience preferredIn lieu of consulting experience, 8+ years minimum industry experience required; 12-14+ years of industry experience strongly preferredBachelor’s Degree required (advanced degree preferred)Prior academic and/or professional exposure in economics, public/trade policy, international law and/or international relations preferableA solid working knowledge of geopolitics, trade and foreign direct investmentSkilled in quantitative analysis and modelling, able to distil patterns and insights from data while maintaining a close attention to detailExperience living and studying in a non-Anglosphere country a plusFluency in English; other languages would be advantageous but not requiredOutstanding interpersonal and communication skills to interact with and manage internal and external stakeholder while working in a global collaborative team environmentYou will join a global team of Geopolitics and Trade experts based in Montreal, Toronto, Boston, Washington DC, Amsterdam, London and Singapore, comprising of BCG partners, consultants, and members of BCG’s Knowledge Team. Our team delivers customized knowledge and expertise to BCG clients across a range of industries around the world. We also drive BCG’s growing IP around geopolitics and trade, including proprietary tools, publications, background materials, and curated project work (“case work”, in BCG parlance).As a Knowledge Director, you will collaborate with global topic leads and colleagues across BCG to bring expertise and capabilities to the service of our internal and external clients. Our team is made up of a diverse pool of knowledge positions that allow us to pursue exciting, innovative knowledge careers.ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONTotal compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, contributions to BCG’s Profit Sharing and Retirement Fund (PSRF), and a market leading benefits package described below.Some local governments in the United States require job postings to include a reasonable estimate of base compensation. We expect your total annualized compensation to be approximately the following:· In Washington DC the base salary is between $169,750- $182,800 (USD); placement within this range will vary based on experience and skill level· In other locations, competitive pay is commensurate with the role and geography· Annual discretionary performance bonus between 0-30%· 5% Profit Sharing Retirement Fund (PSRF) contribution, increasing to 10% after two years of service.
