This role is potentially hybrid, but as it is a developmental role, we encourage all our Apprentices to be onsite as often as possible, especially during the first few months.Job DescriptionThis role will have a starting salary of £20,319This role requires employees to complete an online Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS), including The Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) checks for criminal convictions.UKAEA’s Apprenticeship Scheme will allow you to gain the technical knowledge, practical experience and wider skills and behaviours needed for your immediate job role and future career. As a Nuclear Decommissioning Apprentice, you will play a pivotal role in Identifying, responding and implementing relevant actions in the event of abnormal or emergency situations, and identify and escalate risks and issues in the work areas.Additional Responsibilities:

• Complete national academic qualification as defined by the apprenticeship training standard:
• Attend designated training provider, develop and attain a good knowledge of technical skills.
• Represent the UKAEA Organisation and attend external outreach and careers events.

Qualifications

• 5 GCSES A*-C (9-4) including Maths and English.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrate an interest and aptitude for chosen area of work.
