This role is potentially hybrid, but as it is a developmental role, we encourage all our Apprentices to be onsite as often as possible, especially during the first few months.Job DescriptionThis role will have a starting salary of £20,319This role requires employees to complete an online Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS), including The Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) checks for criminal convictions.UKAEA’s Apprenticeship Scheme will allow you to gain the technical knowledge, practical experience and wider skills and behaviours needed for your immediate job role and future career. The successful apprentice will gain this through the combination of formal off-the-job training and the opportunity to apply these skills in a real work environment through on-the-job training.The RoleAre you looking for an exciting opportunity to make a difference? As a Cybernetics Degree Apprentice, you will play a pivotal role in learning how to design, create, commission and test remote handling components, assemblies, and equipment in accordance with current engineering and legislative codes of practice.Additional Responsibilities:

• Complete national academic qualification as defined by the apprenticeship training standard:
• Attend designated training provider, develop and attain a good knowledge of technical skills.
• Represent the UKAEA Organisation and attend external outreach and careers events.

Qualifications

• 5 GCSES A*-C (9-4) including Maths and English and 3 A Levels (96 UCAS points) or Equivalent
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrate an interest and aptitude for chosen area of work.
