£20,761 to £21,197
per annum (pro-rata if applicable) depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

Applications are invited to the above role to provide technical support and assistance to technical and academic staff, researchers and undergraduates within the School of Life Sciences to enable and ensure the safe and effective operation of research, teaching and laboratory activities.

We are seeking candidates with good oral and written communication skills as well as the ability to work accurately in order to maintain high standards. Candidates must be able to demonstrate a methodical approach to work in order to achieve work deadlines and be able to work effectively under pressure.

Previous experience in a laboratory environment would be desirable.

Candidates must hold a minimum of a good standard of education, evidenced by up to 5 GCSEs (grade C and above) or equivalent, including Maths and English or previous work experience in a relevant role.

Please note that candidates must be able to lift and move objects as these roles will involve storing and moving consumables and equipment.

The post is a permanent basis. Hours of work are full time (36.25 hours per week). Job share arrangements may be considered.
