Landscape Management Officer

Are you passionate about nature recovery and excited by the opportunity to shape and deliver a long-term approach to biodiversity at a local level, working with the community to turn ambition into practical action?

We are looking for a proactive Landscape Management Officer to lead the delivery of a three-year project at Thame Town Council that will enable the enhancement and sustainable management of biodiversity on land owned or managed by Thame Town Council, while supporting wider environmental and community-led projects throughout the Thame parish.

Working closely with Town Councillors and other Officers, local partners, volunteers, community groups, residents and landowners, you will develop the evidence base for nature recovery through biodiversity mapping and audits; support the work of Cuttle Brook Local Nature Reserve volunteers; and help to secure funding to deliver a programme of biodiversity enhancement projects.

Over the three-year fixed-term role, you will be responsible for delivering key milestones including the creation of a long-term Nature Recovery Strategy and Biodiversity Plan for Thame Town Council, managing habitat improvement projects, developing a pipeline of future environmental initiatives, and helping to secure external investment to enable biodiversity enhancement continues well beyond the life of the programme.
