Landuse & Nature-based Solutions Project Officer

Full-time (37.5 hours/week) – negotiable
Fixed term 23 month contract, with potential for an extension subject to funding.
Salary: Circa £35,000 per annum.
Based at Esk Rivers & Fisheries Trust, Haughs of Kinnaird, Brechin, DD9 6UA. Flexible
working arrangements are available.

The River South Esk Catchment Partnership (RSECP) is looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and
conscientious person to help deliver nature restoration projects across Angus. Working with
local landowners, farmers and communities, you will seek opportunities to plan and co-ordinate
delivery of projects that will improve biodiversity and climate resilience. The role will also
involve encouraging best land management practice within Angus and promoting the aims of the
RSECP.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to get involved in all aspects of nature
restoration, from writing project proposals, helping design river restoration installations,
working with landowners, farmers and foresters, to working with consultants and contractors,
and helping to monitor the results.

There will be opportunities for training in ecological monitoring techniques.

The initial employment period is for 23 months, however during that time funding will be sought
to extend the period.
