Job Title: Lawyer- Estates and Wills – 3+ years of experience in Wills and EstatesIf you’re thinking of making a change and want to learn more, reach out to me at (986) 999-4419 or [email protected] or take the step and click, APPLY!About the role:Our client is seeking an Lawyer – Estates and Wills who is responsible for providing legal services in matters involving estates and trusts, disputes over wills, trust administration, and fiduciary obligations. You will work with clients to review and advise on different types of estate plans, such as trusts, wills, and powers of attorney, and help clients evaluate their options for resolving legal disputes related to an estate.What you will do:
- Evaluate and advise clients on legal matters related to estates, trusts, probate, and related litigation.
- Conduct legal research and analysis related to estates and trusts.
- Communicate with clients, courts, administrators, and other relevant parties.
- Draft legal pleadings, memoranda, and other documents required for litigation proceedings.
- Monitor changes in estate, trust, and probate laws to ensure that clients are receiving current legal advice.
What you will bring to the table:
- Juris Doctor or LLB degree and licensed to practice law in British Columbia with good standing with the Law Society of British Columbia.
- Ability to prepare wills, POAs, trusts, probate, representation agreements and all other estate administration duties as required.
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with clients and other stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Commitment to market yourself and the firm through various networking opportunities in the communities
