  • Collaborate with academic colleagues to design and create practical activities for studio-based learning that bring a variety of engineering concepts to life.
  • Facilitate engaging studio, workshop, and practical learning experiences for students enrolled in engineering and technology degree programs or professional courses.
  • Prepare equipment and learning spaces for demonstrations, practical sessions, and project work, ensuring a conducive learning environment.
  • Support the development of students’ practical, academic, and professional skills through tailored guidance and mentorship.
  • Work closely with individual learners and teams to provide support, advice, and constructive feedback, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  • Lead and develop the Learning Facilitation and Technician service to ensure effective support for learning and teaching activities and deploy finite resources efficiently.
  • Line manage the Learning Facilitator and Engineering Technician team, ensuring effective utilization of skills and appropriate development opportunities.
  • Oversee and manage expenditure on consumables, materials, and equipment to ensure effective purchasing decisions and value for money.

Qualifications & Experience:Required:

  • Master’s level qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish positive relationships with students and deliver effective practical learning experiences.
  • Proven experience in collaborative team environments, preferably within academia or industry.
  • Teaching, mentoring, or coaching experience in engineering or technology fields.
  • Professional registration with an engineering or technology institute (or willingness to pursue).
