Regional Support is provided from our office in Vancouver.Join us and unearth your potential in a global company that is at the forefront of shaping the future of the mining industry.Your ImpactIn a Lead, Project Commercial role you will oversee all commercial activities for the Company’s Sustaining Capital and Study Projects portfolio across the Americas. In this high impact role, you will be collaborating with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders where your leadership will support delivery of innovative procurement and contracting strategies, tailored to the regional context, governance requirements and project specific needs, to ensure our execution projects are positioned for excellence.As Part of Our Team, You Will

  • Lead your team to fulfill project commercial requirements for Sustaining Capital and Studies.
  • Develop and implement contracting and procurement strategies tailored to the requirements of the Study / Project while optimizing commercial activities.
  • Manage a wide range or internal and external relationships.
  • Provide commercial subject matter expert support to project leadership teams.
  • Ensure adequate resources and capabilities are in place to deliver the specific needs of your scope.
  • Oversee market engagement activities, tendering processes and complex contract negotiations.
  • Ensure compliance with and support approvals though the Stage-Gate project processes (including Order of Magnitude, Pre-feasibility, Feasibility to Execution).
  • Develop and implement delivery models (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Management; Integrated Delivery Partner; Project Management Contractor; Owner Executed) to support the execution approach project execution strategies

Prerequisites for Your Success in This Role

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Law or related degree program.
  • Extensive experience in supply chain, project contracting, procurement and contract administration across all study and project phases including execution.
  • Experience working with various contract types, commercial strategy, and project delivery models.
  • Strong negotiation, leadership, and critical thinking skills.
  • Preparation of executive and board approval documentation.
  • Proficiency in SAP, Ariba, and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) are desirable.

This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience.
