Long-Term Teachers is seeking a lead teacher on behalf of a fantastic provision we are proud to support in Plymouth. This is an incredible opportunity to guide and nurture the education of primary-aged children with a tailored and enriched curriculum.About the role:As a LEad Teacher, you will provide a pivotal role in shaping the academic and personal development of students who thrive on one-to-one support and individualised learning pathways. All students are supported by Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), ensuring their specific needs are met in an environment that values inclusion and innovation.

  • Student Focus: The provision supports students who have been excluded from mainstream settings. Your role will ensure these young learners receive a high-quality curriculum alongside opportunities for engaging extracurricular activities.
  • Leadership & Collaboration: Lead and manage a dedicated team including a Pastoral Lead, teaching assistants, and support staff, while working alongside the Head of Provision, SENCOs, and subject specialists. You’ll also contribute to direct teaching in small groups or one-to-one sessions each week.
  • Forest School & Community Integration: A part-time Forest School provision, complements the curriculum, offering hands-on learning experiences for students.
  • Core Curriculum: Deliver and support teaching in Maths, English, Science, and PSHE, with thematic and practical community-based learning enhancing other subjects.
