The Lead Technician will take full responsibility for the effective delivery of equipment and resources in the School of Media and Communication, providing strategic and management oversight of technical resources.
The role holder will assist the School Manager in establishing best practice, including the forward planning and optimum utilisation of materials, equipment and technical resources within the School of Media and Communication. The post holder will carry out these responsibilities in addition to maintaining their own “hands on” core activities related to the technical areas.
The Lead Technician will support the School Manager and Head of School in the strategic development of the School’s equipment and resources requirements, and will be instrumental in implementing any agreed changes and introducing key initiatives within the School.
The role holder will be required to use their specialist skills and knowledge to ensure a consistent and productive approach to technical resources across the Faculty.
