Leadership Programs Manager

Position description

IWF seeks a Leadership Programs Manager who can be part of a global community making a difference in women’s leadership. Reporting to and supporting the Vice President, Leadership and Educational Programs, this position is responsible for day-to-day communications and administration of the Leadership Fellows Program. The Leadership Programs Manager will demonstrate diplomacy and responsiveness in communicating with the program’s various audiences (such as participants, funders, IWF members, and IWF global board members) and will bring an organized and resourceful approach to program administration. Core responsibilities include:

  • Serving as point person for all logistics and administrative support for the Leadership Fellows Program
  • Administering the application system for the Leadership Fellows Program
  • Organizing the interview stage of the annual selection process for the program
  • Drafting program-related materials
  • Scheduling, preparing for, and participating in meetings with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintaining accurate information about Leadership Fellows Program alumnae and current class members in Salesforce
  • Responding independently to general inquiries and requests.

Background

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • At least two years of relevant experience (may include substantive internships) in administration, event management, or nonprofit operations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ability to solve problems resourcefully, work independently, and handle and prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining high quality and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for taking initiative and exercising sound judgment.
  • Proven verbal and written communications skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to manage a broad range of relationships with care.
  • Sensitivity and respect for the diversity of IWF, its membership, and constituencies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in international relations, business administration, or similar field.
  • Foreign language skills.
  • Experience using Salesforce and Word Press.

IWF offers full-time employees a comprehensive and competitive benefits program including medical, dental, and vision insurance, life and AD&D insurance, employer match of employees’ contributions to a 401(k) plan, paid time off, federal holidays, and sick leave. In addition, IWF’s offices are closed between December 25 and January 1. IWF staff currently work on a hybrid schedule with 2-3 days in the Washington, DC office expected each week.
