Salary: Grade 7 (£37,099 to £44,263 p.a. depending on experience)
This role will be based on the University campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.

In the Digital Education Service, we enable the University’s 10 year strategy for the growth of fully online education, through the provision of specialist online learning design and development expertise. Our focus is on engaging, accessible and inclusive learning experiences, underpinned by innovative digital pedagogies and technologies. We work collaboratively with academic partners, learners and across our teams through an evidence-based, solutions-focused, design-led approach.
As a Learning Designer in the Online Learning Team, you will bring a passion for online education to design and create innovative, inclusive and impactful online learning experiences in collaboration with academic colleagues and other specialist teams in the Service. You will explore teaching and learning approaches across disciplines and for a range of online and professional learners, drawing upon evidence, research, theory and practice to apply a sound understanding of pedagogy and instructional design to course design and development. You will support and lead colleagues in the early stages of programme and course proposals, through to course design, authoring and quality assurance of final outputs from a learning design and learning experience perspective. You will also lead on course refresh and provide learning design input for course evaluation.
