Learning Support Assistant (Secondary School) – ManchesterPosition: Learning Support Assistant

Salary: Competitive, based on experienceAspire People are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join a supportive secondary school in Manchester. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual with a strong academic background and a passion for helping students achieve their full potential.Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with additional needs, ensuring they can access the curriculum effectively.
• Assist in the delivery of tailored interventions in core subjects: Maths, English, and Science.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to create an inclusive learning environment and implement strategies that support student engagement.

Support students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including those with:

• Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
• Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
• Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties
• Dyslexia and other learning difficulties

Requirements:

• Strong academic background in core subjects (Maths, English, Science) – minimum of A-levels or equivalent.
• Previous experience working with SEND students in a school setting, ideally at the secondary level.
• A genuine passion for supporting young people and helping them overcome barriers to learning.
• Knowledge of effective strategies for supporting students with ASC, ADHD, SEMH, and dyslexia.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and adapt to a dynamic school environment.
