Reporting to the Director of Learning Innovation, this role manages a team of Learning Technologists and drives the deployment of cutting-edge tools that enhance both online and on-campus learning. This role is vital in positioning the Business School as a global leader in education and advancing the IDEA Lab’s mission to become a leading EdTech hub.What you would be doing:As a Learning Technology Manager, you will manage a small team of Learning Technologists and oversee the use of learning technologies across the Business School. You will be responsible for ensuring the seamless integration and continuous improvement of our Learning Management Systems (LMS) and providing expert guidance to academic teams. Collaborating with faculty, programme teams, and external stakeholders, you will support the delivery of high-quality educational technology experiences, both on-campus and online. You will also contribute to strategic initiatives, pilot emerging technologies such as AI and VR, and provide training to staff on effective digital teaching tools.What we are looking for:
- Teaching and learning related qualifications
- Teaching experience or the ability to provide learning technology consultancy services to subject matter experts and prospective partners/clients
- Experience of working on change and implementation activities combined
- Demonstrable experience in acting as an agent of innovation within a comparable environment
- Experience contributing and supporting strategic technology roadmaps and pilot projects in collaboration with leadership
- Extensive experience of maintaining and developing Learning Management Systems (LMS) in a higher education context
- Demonstrable knowledge and enthusiasm for the use of emerging digital technology in education (VR, AI, etc)
- Clear knowledge of contemporary best practice and the leading trends in education technology
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to influence and lead peers, faculty and external partners
- Experience managing complex, cross-departmental learning technology projects, ensuring alignment with wider institutional goals
