About usThe Research Department of Orthopaedics and Musculoskeletal Science is a global centre for science driven breakthroughs in the restoration of pain free functional mobility and high-quality independent living. We are an interdisciplinary translational research department where clinicians, scientists, engineers, innovators and technologists work together applying research in real time to physical medicine and rehabilitation.About the roleAspire is a national charity that works with people with spinal cord injuries, providing practical support and advice to help them regain their independence and go on to lead a fulfilled life. We seek an inspired and driven individual to make a difference in the understanding and development of assistive and rehabilitative technologies for spinally injured people and to disability science more generally. You can come from any subject discipline bringing a vision for research and a passion for teaching.
About youWe are looking to appoint at either Lecturer or Associate Professor level. The post holder must have a Higher academic degree e.g. PhD, and evidence of an equivalent level of attainment in research publications. Writing successful grant applications (Desirable (grade 8) / Essential (grade 9).
Must have training in teaching methods and experience of teaching at undergraduate, postgraduate level and other forms of public presentations. Experience in translational research and IP Protection.
