The Department of Sociology and Anthropology is a dynamic, cutting-edge, center of intellectual life at Morgan State University. The Department currently has over 200 undergraduate majors. In addition, The Department of Sociology and Anthropology offers Certificates in Criminal Justice and Anthropology (for its majors), as well as minors in Sociology, Anthropology and Criminal Justice (for non-majors). It has a nationally-ranked Master of Arts/Science in Sociology program and a PhD program in Applied Sociology and Social Justice Studies that will launch in the fall of 2023.

The successful candidate should be prepared to:

  • Teach undergraduate courses in Sociolology (4 per semester).
  • Advise Sociology majors.
  • Provide services to the department, college, university, as needed.
