Position Summary The Mathematics and Economics Department of Bryant University invites applications for two non-tenure track positions as Lecturer in Economics. These are non-tenure track appointments with an opportunity for continual renewal. Applicants should be able to teach principles of micro- and/or macro-economics, as well as occasional upper-level economics courses. Participation in certain departmental and admissions-related events is expected. Remaining duties involve helping with student advising, program planning, and implementation.

Bryant is located in Smithfield, RI, and is 15 minutes northwest of Providence, RI, and one hour south of Boston, MA.
Principal Accountabilities
  • Expectations include a 4-4 teaching load.
  • Providing service to the department and the university are also required.
Qualifications
  • An advanced degree in economics is required (PhD preferred). 
  • Successful candidates must have potential for strong teaching and evidence of significant engagement with economics.
  • Regular attendance at assigned job site and the ability to work collaboratively with co-workers and constituents are essential functions of this position.
