Our freshly accredited MPharm programme forms the core of undergraduate activity.The School of Pharmacy and Bioengineering hosts an internationally recognised translational research facility with a strong international REF2021 profile bringing together molecular biology, stem cell biology, tissue engineering, physicists, chemists, engineers, mathematicians, rehabilitation science and NHS clinicians. Its aim is to improve the health of patients by applying knowledge from basic science to develop insights into the causes of disease and novel therapies for treatment.The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering teaching and learning material which introduces and develops understanding of the basis of drug action to undergraduate MPharm and BSc students in the context of pharmacy and pharmaceutical science. You will also be responsible for developing your own research within a field of science which augments and complements ongoing research at Keele. You will develop this research under the guidance of the School Research Director and in collaboration with local Principal Investigators.You will have a PhD (or an equivalent qualification) in biochemistry, pharmacology or a related subject; experience of teaching in a university setting; and an established track record of research with publications in high quality journals.The BenefitsThe University recognises that its success depends upon the contribution and dedication of its talented staff.
