The School of Chemistry & Chemical Engineering (CCE) at Queen’s University Belfast, is currently seeking to recruit a talented Lecturer (Education) in Chemistry .The successful applicant will contribute to the delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate Chemistry courses in the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering. The applicant will engage with the teaching, organisation and administration of Chemistry courses within the School: coordinating modules, delivering lectures, practical classes, leading seminars, conducting tutorials and participating in educational activities as required.The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate that you meet the following criteria:

  • Primary degree in Chemistry, or closely related discipline.
  • Hold or about to complete PhD in Chemistry or closely related discipline.
  • Experience in delivery of core Chemistry content to undergraduate and/or postgraduate students.
  • Demonstrable teaching experience using a range of teaching methods to Chemistry students at UG and PGT levels in a UK or Irish HE/FE institution, within the last 4 years. This may include lecturing, tutorial delivery, laboratory demonstration, seminar teaching or supervision of research projects.
