We are committed to equality, integrity, and respect.Job Purpose:We are seeking a dedicated Programme Tutor for Health & Social Care to join our team on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will take tutor responsibility for a group of students, deliver science-based units, and contribute to course management and planning activities.Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a Programme Tutor for a caseload of students, focusing on retention and achievement.
  • Deliver high-quality teaching and tutorials on health and social care courses.
  • Implement innovative teaching techniques and use new technologies to promote equality and diversity.
  • Manage student morale and discipline, ensuring an appropriate learning environment.
  • Record and report data accurately, including eILPs, registers, assessments, and student progress.
  • Maintain teaching files and ensure quality assurance procedures are met.
  • Stay updated with academic/vocational subjects and maintain industry links.
  • Support safeguarding and equality and diversity initiatives.
  • Liaise with course teams, student support teams, and parents/carers.
  • Cover classes for absent colleagues and monitor student absences and behavior.
  • Attend parents’ evenings and promotional activities.

Person Specification:

  • Relevant vocational qualification and minimum grade C/4 GCSE in maths and English.
  • Experience in the health and social care sector and delivering NCFE/CACHE qualifications.
  • Understanding of T Level qualifications and experience using Microsoft Teams and ProSolution/ProMonitor.
  • Innovative and competent in creating a stimulating learning environment.
  • Effective in managing behavior and motivating students.
  • Strong understanding of science topics related to health.
  • Excellent team-working, communication, administrative, and organisational skills.
  • Confident in carrying out assessments through role play.
