Are you an experienced 3D animator, looking for the next step in your career?

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced animator with expertise in the following areas:

• 3D Character Animation – including a deep understanding of principles, techniques, and best practices.
• Locomotion – proficiency in creating realistic and dynamic character movements, including walks, runs, jumps, and other forms of locomotion.
• Performance Animation – the ability to bring characters to life by conveying emotions, expressions, and believable performances. You should be able to demonstrate expertise in animating facial expressions, body language, and nuanced gestures.
• Layouts – experience in creating layouts that effectively communicate the intended story and visual composition. You should have a keen eye for camera placement, staging, and overall scene composition.

Our 3D animation production pipeline is based on Autodesk Maya. Therefore, applicants who can effectively utilize their 3D animation skills within Maya will be preferred. Proficiency in other relevant software and tools commonly used in the industry would be beneficial.

Animation at the University of Lincoln is part of a newly established School of Film, Media and Journalism, which offers considerable scope for cross disciplinary collaboration with researchers and practitioners who are coming together to pursue our strategic priorities, in areas such as immersive technologies, virtual production, sustainability, health and wellbeing, ethical AI, and internationalisation.
