Lecturer in Aquatic Molecular Ecology (Education and Scholarship)

This new full-time post is available from 1 January 2025 on a permanent basis.We welcome applications from candidates interested in working part-time hours or job-sharing arrangements.The roleWe are seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Aquatic Molecular Ecology (Education and Scholarship) to support the delivery of modules including those in the areas of aquatic biology, genetics, molecular evolution and ecology. The post will include the preparation and delivery of lectures and tutorials to students on a range of topics relating to the above. The post holder will also be responsible for organising, supervising and assessing relevant undergraduate practical classes (both laboratory-based and field-based) and other duties as required by the Directors of Education and Student Experience.The successful applicant will possess sufficient breadth or depth of specialist and core knowledge in the discipline (demonstrated by a PhD or equivalent in a relevant subject area) to develop teaching programmes and teach and support learning in these academic areas.
