Come help us shape and inspire scientists of the future!The School of Biological and Marine Science, Faculty of Science and Engineering, is looking to appoint a dynamic and highly motivated lecturer in biology to assist with a range of teaching and assessment activities in our Foundation Year Programmes.We are looking for a biologist with experience in teaching at college (FE) or foundation year (HE) level. The role will include tutorials, field work exercises, practical classes, project supervision, as well as lecture delivery and coursework marking.The University of Plymouth has a strong interdisciplinary research ethos which is supported by our three strategic Research Institutes: the Marine Institute, the Sustainable Earth Institute, and the Plymouth Institute of Health and Care Research. As a member of our academic community, you’ll be expected to contribute to our recognised research strengths. Working holistically across the University, you will be challenged to innovate, collaborate and deliver impactful research contributions as part of a systems thinking approach to addressing today’s global challenges.You will have a PhD in Biology (or a related field), with expertise in pedagogy, and experience of teaching at undergraduate level. You will also have a track record of successful research.
