The School wishes to appoint a Lecturer in Clinical Programmes, covering Maternity Leave, to lead and contribute to course management, course delivery and course development across the suite of Physician Associate (PA) programmes, and to undertake related research and knowledge transfer activities.
Working within a committed and enthusiastic team you will focus on academic delivery in the School of Medicine including the PA programmes. The overall purpose of the role is to make a significant contribution to the academic development, course management, teaching, research development and knowledge transfer activities within the School, particularly in relation to the teaching of clinical skills across the PA provision.
You will hold a professional healthcare qualification and a recognised teaching qualification would be desirable. Teaching and assessment experience within a clinical educational environment is essential, including experience of teaching and assessing clinical skills. You will have experience of working within Professional Body requirements
You must possess excellent communication and presentation skills and have strong planning and team management abilities; have an ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and independently.
You will have a commitment to continued professional development and of the University’s strategy and values.
