About the RoleThe School of Physical and Chemical Sciences (SPCS) is seeking to appoint a new Lecturer in Computer Science who will join Queen Mary School Hainan (QMSH), QMUL’s latest transnational education partnership in PR China.This post will be on a Teaching and Scholarship contract and the postholder will be expected to develop and deliver teaching, engage in pedagogical work and contribute to the administration of QMSH. This post is based in London and the postholder will be required to travel to China to deliver block teaching, as allocated by the Director of QMSH.About YouYou should have a PhD in Physics, Maths, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or related fields. Having excellent subject knowledge and teaching experience, you should be able to design, develop and deliver high-quality teaching and assessment in database systems, web technology, computer networks and programming for data science.You should also have clear and ambitious plans for pedagogical activities that aim at achieving excellence in student experience and education, both in and beyond the classroom, and have the ambition to influence the education landscape and create world-wide impact with your pedagogical work.About the School/Department/Institute/ProjectQMUL is a leading UK university, with a breadth of excellence across Science and Engineering, Medicine, and Humanities and Social Sciences.
