We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Lecturer in Computer Science to join our team. You will play a pivotal role in designing and delivering high-quality teaching materials for lectures, tutorials, and labs. Your primary focus will be to educate and inspire some of the brightest students in the country, ensuring they have a stimulating and supportive learning experience.Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver engaging and high-quality teaching to undergraduate and postgraduate students. This includes lectures, seminars, lab sessions, and project supervision.
  • Provide exceptional pastoral care, guiding students through their academic journey and supporting their personal and professional development.
  • Develop and implement effective assessment strategies, providing timely and constructive feedback to support student learning.
  • Take on significant roles within the Department or Faculty, such as Director of Studies, leading on Admissions, or driving Faculty-wide initiatives in innovation or outreach.
  • Play an active role in the design and delivery of cutting-edge teaching methodologies.
  • Stay at the forefront of your field through continuous professional development, scholarship, and active participation in educational advancement

This teaching-specialist role focuses on the design, delivery, and ongoing development of Computer Science education at the University of Bath. While your teaching will be informed by research and professional expertise, this role does not include a research component.Additional opportunities in this role include supporting student placements and contributing to ethics processes within the Department.
