Job Description:UE08: £49,559.00 – £60,907.00 Per Annum.CAHSS / School of Law.Open Ended Contract – Permanent.Full Time – 35 Hours Per Week.The Opportunity:This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic and innovative academic to join the School of Law as a Lecturer in Corporate Law. You should have an established teaching and research profile as well as a proven commitment to promoting the student experience. You will contribute to developing and delivering teaching and assessment (including dissertation supervision) in the subject area.You will play a full part in the collegiate life of the Edinburgh Law School and will be expected to develop and execute an ambitious and impactful research agenda within the fields of criminal law and/or the law of evidence, which leads to the publication of internationally-excellent publications in line with the School REF strategy.The School of Law strives to be a diverse and inclusive community.   • A strong academic profile in corporate law with a PhD (or near completed PhD), or equivalent professional experience.
  • Advanced subject knowledge in corporate law, in particular in company law to teach the subject at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
  • Ability to design and deliver research-led teaching at all levels of the curriculum.
  • Ability to supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students in their dissertation work.
  • Ability to develop an innovative research profile and research plan in the area(s) of expertise, including through high-quality publications.
  • Excellent communication skills and an ability to engage students.
