The School of Architecture, Planning and Landscape at Newcastle University is seeking to appoint a lecturer in Digital Planning, on a teaching and research contract.You will contribute to the research profile of the Planning and Urban Design Subject Group by publishing in internationally recognised journals, demonstrating research impact, and securing external research funding. Additionally, you will develop and deliver teaching in programmes accredited by the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) and by the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), ensuring an outstanding teaching experience for our students.We welcome applicants with planning expertise and skills, who are interested in exploring, enhancing and critiquing the potential role of digital technologies in Planning and Urban Design, such as applications of machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI). - A good Honours degree (or equivalent) in Planning or closely related discipline.
- PhD (or equivalent) at or near completion (strictly within three months of submission at time of application) in Planning or closely-related discipline).
- A relevant Professional Body Membership as appropriate to the subject area (Desirable), particularly of the Royal Town Planning Institute

- HE teaching qualification (or equivalent experience).
£40,247 to £45,163 per annum.
