This recruitment drive, part of a major expansion from 2024-2026, aims to further strengthen our vibrant research, education, and knowledge exchange cultureOur department is renowned for impactful research in the economics of migration, networks, education, crime, and inequality. We are also leaders in developing and applying cutting-edge macroeconomic, experimental, and econometric methods, including dynamic stochastic general equilibrium models and machine learning applications. The 2021 Research Excellence Framework (REF) rated 100% of our research environment and impact initiatives, and 93% of our research outputs as internationally excellent or above.We have a strong record of securing prestigious grants from sources such as the ESRC, Horizon 2020, and Norface. Our department contributes to large-scale funding initiatives like the ESRC Centre for Population Change and ESRC Connecting Generations, both housed within the School of Economic, Social, and Political Sciences.
