Start Date: As soon as possibleinvites applications for four Lecturer in Economics positions. The successful candidate will join the Business School at an exciting time. The newly launched School is the largest in the University, building on the University’s rich heritage and the legacy of the leading Schools of Economics and Finance and Management, whose merger created it. Within the University of St Andrews Business School, Economics ranked second of all UK institutions in . , also named St Andrews Scottish University of the Year 2025 and University of the Year for Student Experience 2025.The successful candidate will be an Economics scholar with strong research potential who can contribute to the School’s world-leading and interdisciplinary research agenda. The candidate will demonstrate the ability to publish high-quality research, seek research funding or other financial support, and engage in knowledge exchange to strengthen the School’s reputation for academic excellence. The candidate must also be an excellent teacher, capable of teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students from diverse backgrounds. The successful candidate will also actively engage in purposeful partnerships with academic, public, private, and third-sector organisations to drive impactful research and enhance the student experience. The position is open to specialists in any broadly defined area of Applied Economics.Candidates will hold a PhD in a cognate discipline and have expertise in any area of applied microeconomics or applied macroeconomics.Employees of the University have access to a wide range of including:
