invites applications for three Lecturer in Economics (Education Focused) positions. The successful candidate will join the Business School at an exciting time. The newly launched School is the largest in the University, building on the University’s rich heritage and the legacy of the leading Schools of Economics and Finance and Management, whose merger created it. Its mission is to develop globally-minded leaders with the ambition, knowledge and skills to create a more prosperous and sustainable world. Within the University of St Andrews Business School, Economics ranked second of all UK institutions in . , also named St Andrews Scottish University of the Year 2025 and University of the Year for Student Experience 2025.The successful candidates will be an Economics scholar with excellent teaching skills and an interest in promoting knowledge exchange are essential. Candidates should have experience in research-led teaching in economics at an undergraduate or postgraduate level, with evidence of delivering an excellent student experience, pastoral care and collegiality. Candidates will provide teaching leadership in teams, design and develop modules (at all levels) and contribute to curriculum and programme development, particularly at the postgraduate taught level. They will take on teaching-related service and leadership roles (for example, examination officer) and contribute to accreditation and internal reviews of learning and teaching. They will also participate in the broader development of the Business School’s internationalisation strategy, student exchanges and links with external contacts such as employers and professional bodies to foster collaboration.Candidates will hold a PhD in a cognate discipline and have expertise in any area of applied microeconomics or applied macroeconomics.Employees of the University have access to a wide range of including:
