The School of Physics & Astronomy is seeking to recruit a Lecturer in Extrasolar Planets. We are looking for motivated individuals who develop and lead an independent research programme in astrophysics and deliver high quality, innovative teaching to our well-qualified undergraduate population. The School is internationally recognised for its research ( ) and has been rated top ten in the UK for over twenty years.We are particularly interested in applicants who complement and extend our current research programmes in extrasolar planets, the detection and characterization of exoplanetary systems and their host stars as well as the physics of planet formation. Applicants should have a strong record of research in astrophysics and some teaching experience, preferably at undergraduate level.The School and University aspire to create an environment that promotes equality, diversity and inclusivity, and applicants are encouraged to engage with our commitment to these values.
