Are you an academic with an interest in playing a key role in a growing and exciting undergraduate and postgraduate modules and programmes in Global Political Economy (GPE)?You will be a scholar who is committed to specialising in teaching and scholarship. The post provides the opportunity to teach in a school, which is undertaking portfolio reform to deliver modules and programmes in line with our strategic vision to study and teach the politics of global challenges. The school offers a diverse, inclusive and digitally-informed student experience. The lectureship will also afford successful candidates the opportunity to conduct ongoing scholarship work in areas that may include innovations in blended learning, in building digital platforms for international teaching collaborations, and/or the pursuit of other pedagogic projects. We seek candidates who are flexible, pro-active, and capable of providing both students and fellow staff with strong support.You will work closely with the Programme Director and the teaching team of key researchers at POLIS to assist in the teaching and expanding of the programme in Global Political Economy in the School. The team of 7 staff has developed cutting-edge GPE pedagogy and scholarship, this involving diverse expertise in GPE. We have GPE programmes with innovative teaching methods and subject material, delivering modules, outreach events, and practitioner engagements that that combine North-South approaches to IPE with other traditional/non-traditional approaches. We also use secondary business analytics data in our teaching and research on Capitalism in Practice. We have developed a focus on global sectors and the practices of capitalism in the contemporary world economy. Candidates will also teach in undergraduate programmes and supervise research degree students as appropriate.You will have a relevant doctorate and you will be able deal independently with a wide range of people and add to existing teaching, research and scholarship profiles in GPE as well as conducting new scholarship and research (which under a teaching and scholarship profile can be pedagogic research). You will possess excellent analytical and writing skills.
