About the vacancy: The School of Computing and Creative Technologies is a rapidly expanding School offering high quality undergraduate and postgraduate programmes which include Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering for Business, Cyber Security, Data Science and Mathematics.We also support a growing and successful body of research in human computer interactions, smart cities, artificial intelligence, cyber security, data science and unconventional computing. The school has 130 academic staff and over 2,500 undergraduate and postgraduate students.About you: Candidates will either have a PhD in an Information Science discipline or be nearing completion, or else can demonstrate evidence of equivalent professional experience. Alongside an understanding of professional practice and ethics within the broader Information Science discipline, you should be able to provide evidence of expertise in this interdisciplinary field that is concerned with the analysis, collection, classification, manipulation, storage, retrieval and dissemination of information. This may include data retrieval and analysis; information systems design and management; knowledge organization; project management; information, data and AI literacy, user experience, information assurance, governance and security.You should also be able to demonstrate experience in providing supportive, equitable and inclusive learning experiences, with the ability to adapt your teaching style for a variety of learning situations and environments.
